The seed for the project was planted during a visit to the Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium in Japan, as we stood admiringly between a tank of whale sharks and a tourist family innocently eating from a pack of sushi. The irony and seeming absurdity of the situation evoked an idea in us: to explore the relationship between food and unusual topics.
