Lubi Barre is a Somali writer, curator, literary agent, and educator based in Hamburg. Born in Paris and raised between Somalia, California, and France, she works across poetry, prose, and literary performance. Drawing on everyday experience, her writing explores memory, language, family, and place through intimate, lyrical narratives. She is the founder of Davenport Books, Hamburg’s first English-language cultural hub and bookshop, where she brings together writers and readers through storytelling, brave conversations, and literary programming.
