Make Zines!

In this workshop, you’ll be making your own zine (= self produced magazine). There’s no strict topic, no overall theme, you can work freely on whatever you feel like needs to get out into the public. We’ll show you some examples of zine formats and talk a little bit about the history of zines. For making your own zine, we will have a template ready so that it can be printed on the Risograph (a bit like a a photocopier but more fun) in a small edition. You can take home a bunch of zines for yourself & we will put them up for grabs at Indiecon for the audience to have a look and take home.

No need to bring any materials, we will have pens/drawing utensils and some collage material ready. If you want to work on a very specific topic, you can bring your own images etc., just make sure they’re Black/White & fitting an A7 or A6 zine.

Contribution for materials: 5–15€ (sliding scale, collected at the beginning of the workshop)
