Sunday
12:00 pm - Roundtable Space
In this round table we will discuss niche to very-niche topics appearing in the indie magazines world, such as circus, rollerskating, handstands or juggling. We'll share about our experience, challenges, opportunities, hopes and expectations creating mags about them.
Topics we might explore:
Where are the possible niches - in the topics, the angles, the format, the language, etc?
How do we address generalized shared experiences while focusing on niche cultures?
How do we break the stereotypical expectations on our topics?
What's the balance between going deep into a topic to a point that non specialists can't follow, and still catching the interest of your most knowledgeable audience? Or simply put - how do we get our head out of our butt?
What are different models that allow for sustainability while reaching niche audience?
How do we sustain writing in a niche, within a niche, within a niche?
Come to talk with us, ask questions or just listen, we look forward to seeing you!
