Growing a Digital Garden Together

Growing a Digital Garden Together
workshop silent space

A collaborative user interface design workshop about shapes, rakes and virtual flowerbedsIn this workshop we look at digital gardens as a tapestry of interconnected ideas, growing and evolving over time, much like the design tools of our digital age that adapt to the needs of their users. Through a playful gardening process, we will explore the design possibilities of collaborative software like Figma or Adobe XD. By planting flowers together and harvesting seeds of ideas, we will collaboratively map out a digital garden and share it on the web.

Each participant will craft and cultivate flowers to decorate a personal flowerbed, brainstorm ideas, and contribute to the creation of a large poster depicting a collective garden maze composed of these flowerbeds. This workshop will teach the principles of digital gardening, utilizing interface design software to create design components and build collaborative structures as a team of enthusiastic digital gardeners.
