What happens when one magazine has to end so that others can begin? Editor, publisher, and creative director Anja Charbonneau shares her story.
Earlier this year, Anja Charbonneau announced that she was closing Broccoli, the much-loved magazine about weed that she started in 2017. In this presentation, she will be joined by editor Stephanie Madewell and deputy editor Ellen Freeman to share the story of why she took that difficult decision, and how it has enabled them to grow the many other magazines, books, and print projects that they are now working on, turning Broccoli from one magazine into an independent publishing empire.
